After so long a time of only remote play, we got to play another face-to-face RPG session. The kind GMs of Kabilang Dungeon coordinated with A Rich Tale and Hobby Kaikan for a day of tabletop sessions. Rocky and I ventured out to play and we had a one-shot session under GM Jod with a few friends. Jod ran a session of Mythic Bastionland for us, which was quite a treat.
Playing with us were Stephanie Bryant (who wrote the wonderful Threadbare RPG) and Vajo (who sadly had to leave earlier). We played knights of Rhoska, dealing with a messy succession while coming face to face with strange things emerging from the wilds.
It was quite an interesting game session, with Mythic Bastionland's OSR roots quite evident. It was interesting how much the feels reminded me of King Arthur's Pendragon. There were definitely more positive things than negative ones from the experience and Rocky and I are eager to see what we can do to have more face to face sessions back in our lives.
